Aulick Supports CITCO Water’s Water Bucket Relay

For World Water Day 2024, Aulick personnel participated in the Water Bucket Relay | Competition & Fundraiser to help raise funds for Clean International’s Walk For Water.

The Aulick team’s generosity in participating in the Water Bucket Relay means children and families will have clean water to drink. This is reliably safe water that they don’t have to walk an average of four miles to access while they carry large buckets on their heads.

Here’s how the competition worked:

Teams of two took turns racing 40 feet from a water source to their assigned five gallon bucket to see which team can fill up their bucket with water the fastest (to a line marking 40 lbs of water). Once full, one member from each team will carry the 40 lbs bucket of water back across the starting line to finish the race. A five second penalty may be incurred for any significant spills on the way back!

Across the Aulick and CITCO Water organizations, over 50 employees participated in the event either directly or through monetary support. Branches were represented in Bowling Green, Nicholasville, and Lexington, KY, Huntington and South Charleston, WV, Bristol, TN, and Fort Mill, SC.
