Aulick’s AulClear 2 is a coagulant used for the clarification of wastewater in a broad range of liquid clarification processes both in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment applications.

Additionally, AulClear 2 is used for the settling of sludge and precipitating out of phosphorus.

Optimal pH range for coagulation when using alum is a pH of 6 to 7. For water with high alkalinity, the additional use of higher volumes of coagulant may be necessary to lower pH to adequate levels. It goes without saying that this can greatly increase chemical feed rate and overall cost.

AulClear 2 is effective over a pH range of 6.5 -10. Other polymers used for clarification will decrease the dissolved oxygen level which can be a large problem for wastewater treatment plants. AulClear 2 works differently in that it does not increase the wastewater pH, but increases the dissolved oxygen level.
